What is Tumble Class?
Tumble Class runs for 1 hour focusing on a specific set of skills that all build on each other to create more complex skills down the track.
Key Focus Areas of our Tumble Classes
Body Strengthening - Not only to prevent injuries, but to give our athletes the strength, power and agility needed to complete the skills easily with great technique.
Skill Revision - We always, no matter the class level, go back to basics and revise all skills working from basics to the more advanced skills the class is working on. This ensures our athletes are well rounded and always have their foundations really solid.
Skill Preparation - We spend time working on breaking down the goal skills the athletes are working on in that class, into the beginning of the skill, the middle and end (known more commonly as drills). This ensures that athletes can make small adjustments to their technique and have great foundations of the skill. Then once they have mastered their drills, it is really easy to put them all together to produce a beautifully executed skill - with confidence.
Skill Execution - We will work towards the athletes completing the classes goal skills independently, and then once confident, we work on cleaning up the execution. Skill execution (technique) is important as our Tumble Class skills build on the next, more difficult, skill up the line. If a child is missing one piece of their tumbling puzzle, it makes the more difficult skills down the track, really hard to do as you need all of the pieces to align. By having all the foundations and puzzle pieces, our athletes excel in their technique and progress quicker.
Leveling of Our Classes
We split our Levels into A & B, for example we have Bronze A & Bronze B. This ensures all athletes in the class learn everything they need to effectively progress their skills.
A = Introduction to the skills in the level and working on foundational elements of those skills. Silver and above also work on more complex passes utilising skills from the previous level.
B = Working towards mastery of the skills in the level and a brief introduction to some foundational elements of the skills in the next level.
